Adjustment of the ordinance concerning measures against the Democratic Republic of Kongo (DRK)
On 25 June 2008 the Swiss Federal Council has decided to change the arms embargo which was imposed against the Democratic Republic of Kongo (DRK). With this step Switzerland transposes the resolution 1807 (as of 31 March 2008) of the UN-Security-Council into its own national law. The change of the above mentioned ordinance which mainly has a formal, technical charakter has been published on 8 July 2008 and comes into force as of 15 July 2008.
