Dear Member,
Due to the recent developments, the cross-border compliance issues still remain in the focus of the financial market. Swiss asset managers with international clients or with international business activities still face increasing requirements regarding the actual knowledge of the legal situation in the country of domicile of their clients or in the country where asset management services are performed.
Country Manuals are generally deemed to be a suitable instrument to get sufficient proficiency with cross-border risks and to assess the legal risks that might be faced in the respective jurisdiction with reasonable efforts. We have informed you through our VQF Newsletter No. 310 that VQF entered into an agreement with BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA to offer its members country manuals at substantially reduced costs. These country manuals inform, from an asset managers point of view, about the risks and the particularities that have to be taken into consideration when performing business operations in or when dealing with citizens as clients of a certain country.
BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA currently offers ca. 30 country manuals for asset managers and aims to further expand the scope of covered countries according to market needs. BRP Bizzozero & Partners SA offers these manuals as annual subscription solution that also provides VQF members with updates to the subscribed manual and country alerts about important developments in the respective country.
Please find hereinafter the order form that also lists the specific subscription conditions. Please send the completed and signed order form back to VQF.
Kind regards,
