Amendment to the Ordinance of 28 June 2006 on Sanctions against Myanmar (SR 946.231.157.5)
International Sanctions
The Federal Council resolved to lift the sanctions against Myanmar on 9 May 2012, excluding the embargo on arms and other goods liable to be used in repression. Articles 1a to 4, 5 and 7 and Appendices 2 to 5 of the Ordinance were annulled.
The amendment came into force on 10 May 2012.

Amendment to the Appendix to the Ordinance of 7 August 1990 on Economic Sanctions against the Republic of Iraq (SR 946.206)
International Sanctions
The Federal Department of Economic Affairs amended the Appendix to the Ordinance on Economic Sanctions against the Republic of Iraq on 27 April 2012. Three natural persons were deleted from the list. The amendment came into force on 14 May 2012.

Amendment to Appendices 1 and 2 to the Ordinance of 19 January 2005 on Sanctions against Liberia (SR 946.231.16)
International Sanctions
The Federal Department of Economic Affairs amended Appendices 1 and 2 to the Ordinance on Sanctions against Liberia on 27 April 2012. Further information was added to 11 entries in Appendix 1 and 19 entries in Appendix 2. The amendment came into force on 14 May 2012.

Financial intermediaries which hold or manage funds that can be assumed to be affected by the financial sanctions against Liberia, or have knowledge of such financial resources, must report the facts to the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) without delay and freeze the associated assets.
