Amendment to Appendix 2 to the Ordinance on Sanctions against Syria

International Sanctions

The Federal Department of Economic Affairs amended Appendix 2 to the Ordinance on Sanctions against Syria on 9 September 2011. By doing so, Switzerland adopted a corresponding European Union resolution. In Appendix 2, 19 natural persons were added to List A and 8 companies and organisations were added to List B. The amendment came into force on 13 September 2011. The Appendix to the Ordinance is available for consultation on the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) website.

In accordance with the provisions of the Ordinance on Sanctions against Syria, financial intermediaries are requested to report relevant business relationships to SECO and to block the associated assets.
